As a remote compliance auditor, your job is to perform an audit for your client. This usually involves payroll, financial accounts, and other accounting matters, but remote compliance auditors may also evaluate software code, review forms before submitting them to regulatory agencies, or interview staff. In this remote job, you are usually home-based and work on a predetermined schedule, but you may occasionally travel to visit clients for matters that can not be audited remotely. If you live in a different time zone than your clients, you may have to adjust your work day to match their schedule. Most remote compliance auditors are subject matter experts and provide guidance for becoming compliant if anything is found to be wrong.
