Position Overview

Proto-Call Counseling Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our dynamic team. This full-time position allows for a flexible work schedule, primarily remote, focused on delivering vital mental health support in a school environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing the well-being of students by providing high-quality assessments and tailored treatment plans to help children thrive.

About the Organization

At Proto-Call Counseling Services, we are committed to being a beacon of wellness within the communities we serve. Our mission revolves around offering accessible mental health care, ensuring that all individuals, especially children and adolescents, have the opportunity to receive the support they need. As a growing organization with a vision to impact lives positively, we value collaboration, innovation, and a client-centered approach to care.

Work Environment

This role offers the benefit of remote work, providing flexibility and the ability to better balance professional responsibilities with personal commitments. You will work closely with students, teachers, and other school administrators to foster a supportive environment for mental health initiatives. The role will involve some evening and weekend hours to meet the needs of clients and their families, highlighting our commitment to accessibility and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to form independent diagnoses, leveraging your expertise to understand each student's unique situation.
  • Collaborate with students to develop individualized, patient-centered treatment plans that address their specific needs and goals.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalitiesโ€”such as solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and behavioral activationโ€”to ensure effective interventions and progress tracking.
  • Work in conjunction with school staff, including counselors and psychologists, to promote a holistic approach to mental health care, ensuring that all aspects of a studentโ€™s life are considered.
  • Monitor and assess treatment efficacy through regular check-ins and progress reports, adapting strategies as necessary to maximize positive outcomes.
  • Educate and support students in adherence to psychotropic medication regimens as needed, coordinating with medical providers to address side effects and treatment effectiveness.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on school-aged children and adolescents who may be facing a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and social difficulties. You will have the opportunity to make significant improvements in their lives, helping students navigate emotional and psychological hurdles in a supportive environment.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution, reflecting a strong academic foundation in mental health practices.
  • A current and valid license to practice independently as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York State.
  • Minimum of one year of experience working as an independently licensed therapist, equipped with practical skills in providing therapeutic care.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in school-based settings or pediatric mental health is highly preferred, as it demonstrates familiarity with the unique dynamics and needs of children and educational environments.
  • Proficiency in utilizing telehealth platforms to engage with clients virtually, ensuring continuity of care in various circumstances.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience, in addition to an annual incentive bonus. You will benefit from robust healthcare plans, a 401(K) savings plan with employer matching, and reimbursement for license renewal fees.
