This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality mental health services to individuals facing addiction and related challenges at our Detox Center in Tucson, Arizona. As an integral member of our clinical team, you will leverage your expertise to enhance the well-being of our clients while pursuing our mission to provide accessible healthcare solutions.

About the Organization

At Proto-Call Counseling Services, we are committed to being a beacon of well-being in the communities we serve. We offer affordable healthcare options to millions, ensuring that individuals from all walks of life can access the mental health services they need. Our organization prioritizes collaboration, support, and evidence-based practices to create a positive impact on our clients' lives.

Work Environment

This position offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing for a work-life balance while supporting clients from the comfort of their homes. You will engage in some in-person meetings and clinical collaborations with colleagues as needed, ensuring an integrated approach to care. Our detox facility environment is collaborative, and you will be part of an interdisciplinary team dedicated to achieving optimal recovery outcomes for clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize your clinical education, training, and hands-on experience to conduct thorough psychosocial assessments and independent diagnoses for patients presenting with varying behavioral health conditions.
  • Work collaboratively with patients to co-create personalized treatment plans that prioritize their individual needs and aspirations for recovery.
  • Implement evidence-based behavioral interventions, including motivational interviewing, problem-solving treatment, and behavioral activation, to inspire positive change and enhance client engagement.
  • Collaborate with fellow clinicians, psychologists, and primary care providers within the Walmart Health & Wellness framework to ensure a cohesive and holistic treatment approach for clients.
  • Monitor treatment effectiveness by systematically tracking patient progress, using data to adjust interventions as needed, and maintaining open lines of communication through virtual or in-person check-ins.
  • Support medication management and adherence, working in tandem with medical providers to assess patient response to psychotropic medications, monitor side effects, and adjust plans as necessary.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily serves individuals navigating the complex landscape of addiction, mental health challenges, and co-occurring disorders. The clients you work with come from diverse backgrounds and require specialized support tailored to their unique circumstances. The goal is to empower them with tools and resources for sustainable recovery, enhancing their quality of life and integration into their communities.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
  • A current and unrestricted LCSW license to practice independently in mental health within the State of Arizona.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical setting as a licensed therapist, with a focus on mental health and substance use treatment preferred.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, experience working in a detox or addiction recovery setting, as well as familiarity with behavioral health frameworks and integrated care models, is highly desirable. Candidates who have utilized various evidence-based therapeutic modalities will find their skills particularly aligned with our clients' needs.
