Job description


The Outcomes Service in Rockville, MD has an immediate opening for a Community Support Specialist I - Virtual CDS Facilitator.
The Virtual CDS Facilitator will plan, coordinate and provide direct support to the people we serve with intellectual/developmental disabilities on zoom or other virtual platforms.
This is a part time position. 18 hours per week. Direct hours 9:00am - 1:00pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday plus two hours planning time per week.
Pay Rate is $20 per hour
Overview:
  • Plan and facilitate virtual sessions including skill-building, creative activities, fitness, social games, and community access topics.
  • Support participants in building skills in areas such as daily living, communication, wellness, and self-advocacy.
  • Promote inclusive participation and provide individualized support as needed within the group setting.
  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation of sessions and participant progress.
  • Communicate effectively with participants, families, and team members regarding program content and participant engagement.
  • Collaborate with other staff to ensure consistency and quality in service delivery.
  • Provides supports to Case Managers in providing services for the people we serve.
  • Facilitates the progress of a person's targeted goals and work behaviors utilizing lesson plans and teaching methods.
  • Completes and processes reports, case notes and other documentation in a timely manner.

Experience and Skills
Required Experience:
  • Minimum of a high school diploma.
  • Prior experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities is preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a virtual environment.
  • Comfort and proficiency with video conferencing platforms (e.g., Zoom).
