As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough mental health assessments that consider the interplay between psychiatric and medical conditions.

• Leading both individual and group therapy sessions, customizing strategies to best support your clients’ unique circumstances.

• Educating clients about the relationship between mental health and physical well-being to enhance their ability to manage their conditions.

• Participating actively in case conferences and team meetings to contribute to interdisciplinary care planning.
• Staying informed about advancements in integrated mental health care through continued education and research.

Your work will focus primarily on individuals facing complex mental health issues alongside co-occurring medical challenges. You will support a variety of patients, including those experiencing chronic pain, substance use disorders, and other related conditions. Your role is essential in helping them navigate their personal challenges and achieve holistic wellness.

To be considered for this position, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
• Experience in addressing the mental health needs of individuals with co-occurring medical conditions.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, allowing effective interaction with patients and other healthcare workers.
• Ability to uphold professional boundaries while ensuring confidentiality and adhering to ethical guidelines.

While not mandatory, candidates with the following experiences are encouraged to apply:
