While the majority of work may be conducted from home, there may be occasional requirements for on-site visits in line with client needs.

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments of clients in detox, focusing on their emotional, mental, and social needs to tailor individualized care plans.
• Deliver emotional support and counseling, employing therapeutic techniques that cater to clients dealing with addiction and withdrawal symptoms.
• Facilitate family meetings to address collective care strategies, improving communication and understanding among family members.
• Advocate for clients by navigating them through the complexities of healthcare systems, ensuring access to community resources and ongoing support.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, utilizing teletherapy and remote communications tools to coordinate interventions and monitor client progress.
• Engage regularly with clients through virtual sessions, adjusting care plans as needed based on their evolving needs.
• Document all client interactions, care assessments, and progress notes in our electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
• Stay informed about best practices in social work, addiction recovery, and mental health to continue providing evidence-based interventions.

This role primarily focuses on individuals seeking assistance with substance use disorders at our detox center. Clients may present with a range of complexities, including co-occurring mental health issues, requiring a nuanced understanding of addiction and its psychosocial implications. Your work will have a direct impact on the recovery journeys of clients by improving their coping strategies and support systems.

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid state licensure as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW).
• At least two years of relevant experience in social work, particularly within addiction recovery, mental health, or related fields.
• Strong understanding of social work principles, addiction treatment methodologies, and the resources available for recovery support.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to connect with clients and families.
• Proficiency in current telehealth technologies and electronic health record systems to facilitate remote counseling and documentation.

• Experience working in a detox environment or providing services to individuals with substance use disorders.
• Familiarity with community resources specific to Dallas, Texas, to assist clients in their recovery process.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care practices that help create a safe and nurturing environment for clients.
