Job description

Communication Specialist
The Communications Specialist supports Perspectives USA by managing key communication tools and providing support to staff. This role oversees Constant Contact, including maintaining mailing lists, managing subscriber data, and assisting with email communications.
They also manage the organization's Zoom account by scheduling meetings, providing occasional live support, and training users. In addition, they maintain the internal merchandise portal, keeping information current and assisting users as needed. The ability to provide analysis of these tools' usage is a plus but not required. This role is ideal for someone organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable with digital communication tools.
Worker Status: Part-time with opportunity to expand if desired
Role is: Support-based or Self-supported
Staff Position: Staff living expenses are covered through personal fundraising OR the worker has no need to raise funds
Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate and work with other Perspectives staff to assess and service their internal communication needs in conjunction with supervisor
  • Executes assigned tasks to keep current Communication Toolsets, including Google Chat and Google Calendar for the organization
  • Responsible for maintaining communication database leveraged by ConstantContact
  • Executes assigned tasks to ensure smooth transition for staff onboarding andoffboarding from a communications perspective
