Key Responsibilities

• Conduct direct clinical assessments of clients experiencing symptoms of major mental illness or severe emotional disorders in both remote and community settings.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to establish and achieve collective team goals while enhancing communication and cooperation among diverse professionals.
• Uphold the highest standards of ethical practice and comply with professional guidelines, ensuring superior service delivery at all times.
• Create, implement, and monitor integrated care plans that appropriately address each client's needs, ensuring seamless access to linked services and support.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions based on each client’s presenting problems and feedback, demonstrating responsiveness to their requests.
• Engage in crisis intervention when necessary, employing evidence-based techniques to assist clients in acute distress.
• Maintain regular monitoring of client progress, including assessments of admission, ongoing stay, and discharge criteria to ensure optimal treatment outcomes.
• Participate in quality improvement committees to continually enhance service delivery and address any operational challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The clientele at the Detox Center primarily consists of individuals grappling with addiction, trauma, and co-occurring mental health disorders. You will work closely with patients from various backgrounds, each presenting unique challenges and recovery journeys. A strong focus on culturally competent care will be paramount, allowing for respectful engagement with clients’ diverse values and experiences.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or a closely related field is required.
• Must possess LCSW licensure in the state of Connecticut.
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience, demonstrating effective intervention and management of significant emotional and behavioral issues.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey clinical findings and documentation clearly.
• Adept at organizational and planning skills to manage a caseload effectively and ensure all client documentation is completed timely.
• A solid understanding of developmental stages and behaviors relevant to the client populations served.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred but not mandatory.

Preferred Experience

• Competitive base salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
