Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Group Therapy Facilitation: Lead engaging group sessions where clients can share experiences and support one another in a safe space.
  • Individual Counseling: Provide individualized therapy sessions that utilize empathetic listening and evidence-based therapies to help clients explore their emotions, thoughts, and coping mechanisms.
  • Treatment Planning: Collaborate with clients in creating personalized treatment plans that address their unique needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals.
  • Progress Monitoring: Evaluate clients’ progress using various assessment tools and feedback methods, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with other professionals in our healthcare team to coordinate care, share insights, and consult on complex cases for holistic client support.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This position focuses primarily on young adults facing mental health challenges, including mood disorders, anxiety, and other related issues. By employing tailored therapeutic interventions and fostering a supportive environment, you will empower these individuals to navigate their experiences, heal from their challenges, and pave the way for future successes.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
  • Current Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) licensure.
  • Experience working with clients experiencing mental health challenges in both residential and outpatient settings.
  • Strong clinical skills, including proficiency in motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and documentation.
  • A collaborative attitude and passion for helping clients achieve positive changes in their lives.
Preferred Experience

While not required, ideal candidates will have experience utilizing various evidence-based therapeutic methodologies and a history of successful outcomes with young adult clients. A background in community health settings will be a significant advantage.
