Key Responsibilities

• Create and continuously refine individualized treatment plans based on client assessments, ensuring therapeutic interventions are both relevant and effective.
• Serve as a calm and reassuring presence in crisis management situations by employing de-escalation techniques and providing immediate support.
• Collect, organize, and maintain comprehensive patient records to accurately track progress, inform clinical decisions, and enhance the therapeutic process.
• Facilitate virtual therapy sessions that provide a safe, confidential space for clients, fostering genuine connection and therapeutic rapport.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and supervision tailored to your unique needs, especially if you are an associate licensed therapist seeking supervised experience.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Mental Health Counselor at Four Winds Therapy, you will address a diverse client population that may include children, adolescents, adults, and families. You will utilize a trauma-informed approach, incorporating methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), ensuring that your interventions are evidence-based and client-focused. Your work will not only support individual healing journeys but also empower clients to foster healthier relationships and community connections.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in psychology, counseling, or a closely related field is mandatory.
• Current licensure in Washington State as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or Associate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC-A) is required.
• A minimum of one year of professional counseling experience in behavioral health settings is essential.
• A strong understanding of trauma-informed care practices and various therapeutic modalities is preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with pediatric mental health care and developmental considerations across the lifespan.
• Experience in providing professional psychedelic integration counseling is a plus.
• Proficient skills in crisis management, assessment, data collection, and documentation are highly valued.
• A demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines in clinical practice.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey treatment plans and interact with clients and their families.
