Job description

Job Overview:
The Territory Sales Representative (TSR), bottle/can serves as the front-line communicator and facilitator for KDP's (CASO) Coca-Cola Affiliated Sales Organization, and execution arm of the strategic direction through our CASO Bottlers, Distributors, and key local Retail Accounts while executing key business building initiatives to achieve assigned volume, share and profit targets across all channels of trade.
You will be required to travel approximately 50% of the time within Bottler and Trade locations. For this posting, TSR Southeast, area responsibility includes combination of North Carolina, South Carolina, and portions of the Mid-South Region. The main cities and key call points are: Charlotte, Raleigh, Hickory, Aberdeen, Rock Hill, Nashville, Little Rock.
The position is field based in the Charlotte, NC area with bottle/can accountability aligned to the Coca-Cola Consolidated Bottling Company and their affiliated supply chain.
Reporting to the Director of Field Sales, this TSR will predominantly represent the KDP brands and where aligned may include Dr Pepper, Sun Drop, Big Red and other KDP brands that are licensed within the Coca-Cola Bottlers distribution areas in the assigned territory. Bottler business development accountabilities include three primary channels of trade: large store, small store and FSOP.
Responsibilities
  • Identify, develop, and execute key business building opportunities around availability, distribution, promotion, display, merchandising, and pricing that will support volume and share growth for KDP, while balancing these elements in a manner that will ensure a sustainable, profitable business model is maintained for both DPS and our customers.
  • Align system resources to implement marketing and operational programs according to plan, schedule, and budget.
  • Interfacing with bottler Key Account Managers and KDP National Account Teams, improve retail account penetration for Dr Pepper TMK and KDP products distributed by Coca-Cola Bottlers and advance trade execution to gain fair share of retail.
  • Cultivate productive working relationships with key bottlers and trade contacts and within CASO team.
  • Responsibly support the management of local resources within Bottler contractual disciplines including initiating local business plans to support KPI objectives.
  • Develop and implement Annual Operating Plans which support business objectives, ensure execution of programs throughout the system, ad schedules, and pricing strategies to drive inclusion to bottler aligned programs and business plans.
  • Leverage consumer insights and partner with bottler and trade to input into the development of trimester joint business plans.
  • Use internal and external data sources for performance analysis and reporting, effectively utilize syndicated data, customer channel data, trade intelligence, and brand facts to support the Annual Business Plan.
  • Ensure execution of Bottler and Trade coverage plans to support business plan and marketing activities developed to deliver volume, profit, and customer satisfaction commitments made to all stakeholders during business and/or stewardship planning.
  • Work cross-functionally with other Divisions, Bottler Activation Managers, Commercial Planning, KDP National and Regional Account Teams and assigned Bottlers to deliver customer-specific business solutions.
  • Ensure Route-to-Market compliance by increasing distribution on brands and packages and solidifying execution for channel and new account opportunity.
  • Solve operational or executional issues with customers or bottlers.

Total Rewards:
  • Salary range $65,500 - $95,000

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience from the Consumer Goods Industry
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience within a closely related field
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills that will enable compelling sales presentations
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word
  • Occasionally perform physical activity as required (merchandising and equipment placing)
