Job description

Overview
The Hospice Clinical Ops Consultant acts as a resource with regard to federal, state, and local regulations for hospice and the provision of services. This role will utilize clinical knowledge and experience to train and educate branch staff. This role will provide direct support that includes audits, site visits, education and training of personnel, integration of new employees and branches to Enhabit, and the development of operational workflow.
Must be able to travel overnight by air or personal vehicle up to 75%- 85% of the time.
This role is a Home Office/Corporate position that will allow you to work remotely. You do not need to be located in Dallas, TX. However, you will need to be located within driving distance of a branch.
Responsibilities
  • Perform analysis of clinical operational structures; audit results and on site observations.
  • Evaluate the appropriateness of clinical services provided through in depth review of the plan of care and other clinical documentation.
  • Perform on site visits and clinical assessments in conjunction with clinical chart audits; determine opportunities for improvement.
  • Recommend efficient operational solutions with regard to clinical aspects of service delivery.
  • Prepare appropriate and realistic corrective action plans; submit to appropriate branch, regional, and home office leadership.
  • Assist local and regional leadership with the assessment, planning, development, and implementation of systems, processes, and other identified needs.
  • Perform direct education and training related to HCHB and Enhabit processes for all clinical functions of back office and field positions.
  • Conduct and document competency of branch clinical staff; includes field and back office.
  • Serve as a resource of Enhabit policies and standard operating procedure; act as a resource to branch employees.
  • Provide support for all aspects of integration preparation and process, as requested.
  • Complete clinical audits on site for assigned branches.
  • Document all on-site visits appropriately and timely; submit for review per standard processes.
  • Complete reviews and provide feedback of submitted on-site documentation timely
  • Monitor branch clinical workflow and action screens, as needed.
  • Fulfill a workforce management solution within local branches, as needed.

Qualifications
  • Must be a graduate of an approved school of nursing (RN). Must be licensed in the state where they currently practice.
  • Must have five years of experience in a Medicare certified hospice agency.
  • Must have intermediate demonstrated technology skills - Microsoft office suite, particularly Excel.
  • Must be able to travel overnight by air or personal vehicle up to 75% of the time.
  • Previous experience and proficiency with Homecare Homebase (HCHB), both R2 and PointCare, is highly preferred.
  • Previous experience with developing and implementing employee education is preferred.
