Position Overview

Cure Health Therapy Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our specialized Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Team. This full-time position offers the unique opportunity to provide essential mental health services to children and adolescents remotely, contributing to the emotional, psychological, and social well-being of our young clients and their families.

Work Environment

The selected candidate will primarily work in an outpatient setting from the comfort of their own home or a suitable remote location. Our flexible work schedule accommodates both our therapists and the needs of our clients, ensuring a balanced work-life dynamic. Typical work hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the possibility of occasional evening shifts based on patient requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments, identifying the needs and challenges faced by children and adolescents.
  • Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that reflect each client’s unique developmental stage and family dynamics.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and family therapy, to effectively address a broad spectrum of issues, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.
  • Provide crisis intervention services, offering immediate support during mental health emergencies to ensure the safety and well-being of young clients.
  • Educate clients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential electronic documentation in adherence to ethical and legal standards.
  • Engage in regular collaboration with child psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive care for clients.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development activities, including case consultations and training, to stay abreast of advancements in child and adolescent mental health.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role specifically focuses on a diverse population of children and adolescents who face a variety of mental health challenges. The therapist will work closely with both young clients and their families, providing support and guidance to foster a nurturing home environment. The therapist's work is crucial in promoting healthy emotional and psychological development during these formative years.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York.
  • Proficient knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.
  • Experience providing individual and family therapy to children and adolescents.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a child-centered and empathetic approach.
