Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated full-time Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic team at Positive Pathways Counseling Center. This remote position allows you to provide critical support and therapeutic services to children and adolescents via telehealth, helping them navigate various mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify the specific needs of children and adolescents, utilizing evidence-based methodologies.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient, which may include various therapeutic techniques and interventions.
  • Provide family therapy sessions aimed at empowering parents and caregivers, fostering a supportive home environment conducive to healing.
  • Collaborate closely with pediatric psychiatry professionals and members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure integrated care for all clients.
  • Guide patients through crises, offering immediate support and intervention as necessary during mental health emergencies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with children and adolescents struggling with a wide range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders. You will engage with both patients and their families, creating treatment plans that address not only the psychological symptoms but also the environmental and familial factors contributing to the patient's challenges.

Qualifications
  • A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in Arizona is mandatory.
  • Demonstrated understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders as well as proficiency in evidence-based treatment practices.
  • Experience in providing individual and family therapy, particularly in a virtual environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on building rapport with clients and their families.
  • Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) and telehealth technologies, with a capacity for adapting to new systems quickly.
