Job description

Looking for your next opportunity in insurance defense? A Jacksonville-area law firm is adding an experienced paralegal to its team. The right candidate will have a strong litigation background, excellent communication skills, and the confidence to take ownership of their responsibilities in a busy legal environment.
Hybrid schedule initially, with the possibility of transitioning to a fully remote position. Candidates located in North Florida who can work in the Jacksonville office as needed are strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive paralegal support to attorneys handling insurance defense matters.
  • Review, organize, and prepare medical records and medical bill summaries.
  • Communicate with attorneys, clients, medical providers, experts, and other case participants.
  • Coordinate communications and case-related matters with expert witnesses.
  • Draft Notices of Non-Party Production (NPNPs) and subpoenas.
  • Assist with discovery, litigation, case management, and trial preparation.
  • Maintain organized electronic case files and monitor case deadlines.
  • Provide additional litigation support as needed.
Qualifications
  • Significant insurance defense paralegal experience required.
  • Strong experience reviewing and summarizing medical records and medical bills.
  • Experience drafting NPNPs and subpoenas.
  • Experience communicating and coordinating with expert witnesses.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple cases and deadlines.
  • Proficiency with legal technology and case-management systems.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
  • North Florida candidates able to work in the Jacksonville office as needed are strongly preferred.
