Job description

Arrowhead Talent Solutions is helping a medical device company find a Regional Sales Representative to support their sales efforts in Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona. This is a remote position but the ideal candidate will live in the greater Dallas-Forth Worth or Houston areas. Based on historical data, the total compensation is expected to be $115k+ (base plus uncapped commissions).

Purpose Primarily responsible for all salesโ€related activity associated with the company's products targeting physicians, nurses, patients, and consumers. Business includes topical medical devices used for preโ€injection anesthesia, minor open wounds, minor surgical procedures, and manipulative medicine techniques. Responsible for product sales presentations, product detailing, endโ€user education, working with distributors to facilitate sales, sales plan development, negotiating contracts with hospitals and hospital systems, and drive revenue and market share growth.

Essential Functions Present products to clinicians in hospitals, private practices, surgery centers, private ERs, etc. to win product evaluations and create habitual use amongst endโ€users. Creates detailed territory plan with direct supervisor including identification of targets, prioritization of opportunities, and call schedule to effectively achieve sales objectives.

Timely follow up of relevant trade show leads. Develops clinical key opinion leaders and regional reference centers within respective territory and deploys speakers to create awareness amongst nonโ€users, proper technique for existing users, and new approved applications of products for all. Attend national and local trade shows and customer meetings as needed to display and detail the products.

Execute the role of "Show Captain" responsibilities as assigned. Attend national and local distributor meetings as needed to train distributor sales force, build relationships to multiply sales effort, and identify distributor programs that create leverage for the products. Follows hospital guidelines for sales representatives, maintains hospital "approved supplier" information, and represents company in a professional, ethical, and "bestโ€inโ€class" manner throughout the execution of the sales representative duties.

Works with sales leadership and Marketing to improve/create promotional materials and sales aids to effectively sell products. Record relevant and detailed account call information into the CRM system consistently in a timely manner. Assure that their sales activities and programs are operated in full compliance with FDA, AdvaMed guidelines, and all other applicable governmental regulations.

Other Duties and Responsibilities Review and evaluate all hospital "Requests for Proposal" in conjunction with sales leadership to identify the appropriate pricing structure for hospitals to convert the hospital to the company's products. Remain informed about all short and longโ€term issues, opportunities, and threats that impact the marketplace related to new products, new applications, and competition. Experience in negotiating and presenting multiโ€year distributor, hospital, and endโ€user contract proposals involving multiple products and product lines.

Undertake special projects as assigned by sales leadership. Completes expense reports and submits them to supervisor in a timely fashion. Attends periodic Sales & Marketing meetings around the country as needed.

Comply with all company policies, practices, and procedures. Education Bachelor's Degree in Arts, Science, or Engineering preferred. Background/Training/Skills/Experience 3-5 years of experience selling in the medical device and/or pharmaceutical markets calling on hospitals and/or private practices.

Experience with Distribution partners preferred. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written communication, and analytical skills required. A proven track record of achieving revenue and market share targets in the US.

Demonstrated success in the sales launch of new products. Experience in annual territory planning. Strong interpersonal skills.

Strong analytical abilities. Technically proficient in MS Office products and personal computer skills. Proven ability for maintaining confidentiality with honesty and integrity that is beyond reproach.
