Remote Cancer Survivor information

What is a remote cancer survivor?

A remote cancer survivor is someone who has completed cancer treatment and continues to live cancer-free, often residing in a rural or remote area with limited access to in-person healthcare services. These individuals may rely on telemedicine, online support groups, and digital health resources for ongoing care, follow-up appointments, and emotional support. Being a remote cancer survivor can present unique challenges, such as difficulties in accessing specialized care, but technology and dedicated survivorship programs are helping bridge these gaps. Continued monitoring and support are essential to ensure long-term health and well-being.
