Sr. Application SQL Database Administrator (DBA)
Location: Remote
Clearance Requirement: Must have an IRS High-Risk Background Investigation, IRS access processing, and required drug screening before CI network access.
Position Summary
Nationwide IT Services (NIS) is seeking a Senior Application SQL DBA to support mission-critical SQL Server environments. This role is responsible for database administration, performance optimization, backup and recovery, security, data integrity, and production support in a regulated environment.
Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of SQL Server DBA experience
  • Expertise with Microsoft SQL Server Enterprise
  • Strong Transact-SQL (T-SQL) skills
  • Experience with database design, SQL jobs, backups, and recovery validation
  • Experience supporting production and UAT database updates, script execution, and data corrections
  • Proven ability to maintain data integrity in controlled production environments
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior IRS experience or IRS clearance
  • Experience supporting .NET/IIS web applications
  • Database sanitization for development and test environments
  • Crystal Reports and Business Objects reporting support
  • Data migration, mapping, and quality validation experience
  • Security patch coordination and audit/compliance support
  • Performance tuning, release deployments, and recovery testing
