Job description

The purpose of our Senior Business Immigration Case Manager is toprovide overall team support for the management of enterprise client accounts, or multiple mid-market accounts. In this role, you will be accountable for exercising independent judgment and applying extensive immigration legal experience and guidance, to ensure that the immigration needs of enterprise clients are met, whilst supporting attorneys and other senior staff with specific initiatives. You will be responsible for ensuring the appropriate client team is managing communications in a timely manner, meeting SLA's, reporting, all while providing excellent client service and a positive employee experience.  

What you'll do: 

  • Manage case strategy meetings, client development activities, town hall meetings and legal seminars provided to clients 
  • Review immigration petitions prepared by Paralegals and Senior Paralegals, and identify (and help resolve) any current or potential issues  
  • Support attorneys (and other senior staff) with the development of legal staff training initiatives; updating Firm processes/procedures/technologies, and undertaking other initiatives as required 
  • Oversee the effective assignment of cases to Paralegal and Senior Paralegal staff to ensure appropriate and balanced workload within team  
  • Support team with drafting of case documents, statutory forms, and templated letters of support, as per strict deadlines for a range of NIVs and PERM applications (end to end) including petitions for key accounts/enterprise clients 
  • Generate reports regarding visa processing metrics, for internal measure and client feedback 
  • Use discretion, experience, and decision-making ability to identify and resolve problems regarding case preparation, for attorney review (only as required) 
  • Help to ensure that client needs are being met, and update team of communication and protocol changes, as they arise 
  • Provide training, guidance, conduct updates and mentoring to Paralegals, and Senior Paralegals, as required  
  • Attend weekly docket calls and help to prepare agenda for any visa processing-related client calls/updates and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Support overall operations by having an eye towards efficiency and productivity 
  • Manage general ad-hoc requests as needed by attorney(s) and senior staff  
  • Utilize online immigration case tracking system to case status and activities on a daily basis  
  • Encourage and set example for positive team morale, even within a remote work environment 
  • Oversee that SLA requirements for all assigned clients are consistently met, by also remaining accountable for the deliverables of all relevant legal team members 
  • Assist with tasks related to client program management, as required 

What you bring: 

  • CompletedBachelor's Degree- highly desirable. 
  • 7+ years of experience working as an Immigration Paralegal drafting employment-based petitions, including for more complex cases and/or high-profile/enterprise clientele 
  • Experience with drafting petitions for a range of NIV cases preferred: H1B, L, TN, O-1 etc. and/or experience with drafting green card processes (I-140 and AOS), and end-to-end PERM applications preferred 
  • Experience allocating cases to team members and leading, encouraging, and training less experienced team members 
  • Intermediate level proficiency with MS Suite (Teams, Outlook, Word) 
  • You have genuine interest in US immigration, with a desire to treat clients & foreign nationals with respect and an empathetic approach 
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, including spelling and grammar 
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure consistent accuracy of work  
  • Ability to follow due process, templates, and to adapt to evolving innovation within the Firm, and industry 
  • Excellent organizational skills and are able to meet strict deadlines while prioritizing case loads 
  • Strong computer literacy with the ability to adapt to state-of-the-art Envoy case processing software to monitor and record all visa petitions  
  • Excellent understanding and experience with the application of legal ethical principles

Annual Salary Range $65,000-$105,000
