Wavelynx Technologies is a global leader in the access control industry, specializing in the design and manufacturing of cutting-edge electronics for credentialing and access control.


We seek a Business Development Manager to grow our existing relationships with national security integrators and add new national and super-regional security integrators.

Reporting to our Director of Global Distribution, this position is responsible for enacting business development strategies, providing key opportunities to the organization that lead to business growth, expanding our National Security Integrator partner base, maintaining relationships with OEMs, partners, and customers, and supporting the company's goal to be a thought leader in the access control industry. This role is ideal for entrepreneurial individuals with experience developing strategies and collaborating with executive leadership to build and deepen customer relationships.

You'll have experience evaluating existing sales strategies, developing an overall national security integrator account strategy, successfully executing plans, being accountable to financial and strategic plans, and working collaboratively with Regional BDs and other business units within the sales organization.


Location: This is a virtual/remote position; however, candidates must reside in the Continuous lower 48 states.


Travel: Up to 50% travel may be required for this role.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with key business leaders to identify key areas of growth and drive new business development.
  • Identifies and analyzes customer preferences to properly direct sales efforts.
  • Consult with potential customers to understand their needs; identify and suggest equipment, products, or services to meet them.
  • Become an expert in Wavelynx's products and services to educate the market on solutions and articulate the Wavelynx value proposition.
  • Work with customers to tailor a solution for them using Wavelynx products. The goal is to provide the most seamless transition plan for end users from their current physical access control infrastructure to a state-of-the-art solution from Wavelynx and its ecosystem partners.
  • Work with marketing to develop sales presentations, displays, and materials.
  • Review and analyze sales and operational records and reports; use data to project sales, determine profitability and targets, and identify potential new markets.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop sales quotas and strategies.
  • Acts as company representative at trade association meetings.

Skills and Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Business Administration, related field, or a comparable record of sales leadership experience is required.
  • At least 5 years of sales experience is required, with experience in access control or the security industry, or SaaS sales preferred.
  • Previous experience in building a sales function for a product line is desired.
  • Proven ability to deliver on revenue targets.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Excellent sales and customer service skills with proven negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Salary and Benefits

  • Base salary of $130,000-$140,000 plus a sales incentive program; OTE $200,000+
