Business Development Representative
United States, West RegionRole Overview:
Drive pipeline growth and market expansion across the West region by connecting organizations with Genesys Cloud, an AI powered platform that transforms how businesses engage with customers and employees. This role directly influences revenue outcomes by identifying, engaging, and qualifying high value opportunities that align with strategic sales priorities. At Genesys, you will help organizations deliver more personalized, efficient, and empathetic experiences while contributing to the evolution of customer experience at scale. You will work closely with Account Executives and sales leadership, gaining exposure to enterprise sales strategy and building a strong foundation for career progression within a high growth, collaborative environment.Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive pipeline creation by identifying and engaging target accounts across the West region using data driven prospecting strategies
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads using structured frameworks, ensuring strong alignment with customer needs and sales objectives
  • Execute personalized multi channel outreach campaigns using intent data, account intelligence, and digital engagement tools
  • Partner with Account Executives on account planning to uncover and develop high potential opportunities across prospect and customer accounts
  • Convert inbound interest into qualified opportunities through timely, high quality engagement
  • Maintain accurate and complete records in Salesforce and lead management platforms to ensure pipeline visibility and data integrity
  • Leverage social selling strategies to build relationships, establish credibility, and nurture prospects throughout the buying journey
  • Analyze outreach performance metrics to improve conversion rates and continuously refine prospecting strategies
Required Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of experience in B2B technology sales or business development
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to identify customer challenges and align solutions to business needs
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast paced environment while managing multiple priorities
  • Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce and sales engagement tools like Outreach or Salesloft
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Proven ability to collaborate across cross functional and distributed teams
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with prospecting tools such as 6Sense or LinkedIn Sales Navigator
  • Experience with social selling and digital engagement, including video prospecting
  • Knowledge of qualification frameworks such as BANT or MEDDPIC
  • Demonstrated interest in advancing into Account Executive or other sales roles
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for events or trade shows, approximately once per quarter

Compensation:

This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a commission or performance-based bonus opportunities.

$48,600.00 - $85,400.00
