Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Control-M Administrator to support and manage a large-scale enterprise Control-M environment across Mainframe (z/OS/MVS) and Linux platforms. This role is responsible for the administration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and strategic direction of Control-M infrastructure supporting mission-critical production workloads.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in BMC Control-M, enterprise scheduling, Linux administration, production support, incident management, and Control-M integrations including Managed File Transfer (MFT) and Web Services.
Responsibilities:
  • dminister and support enterprise Control-M environments across Production, Test, and Sandbox platforms.
  • Manage Control-M Servers, Agents, Enterprise Manager, MFT, and Web Services integrations.
  • Support large-scale environments consisting of multiple Mainframe LPARs, Control-M Servers, and Agents.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Control-M job scheduling, workflow, connectivity, and performance issues.
  • Provide production support and incident management for Control-M-related tools and services.
  • Partner with Enterprise Scheduling teams to resolve operational issues and improve scheduling processes.
  • Create and maintain Control-M connection profiles, Web Services configurations, and MFT integrations.
  • Maintain SSL certificates across Control-M Servers and Agents.
  • Perform Control-M installations, upgrades, patching, and software maintenance activities.
  • Build, configure, maintain, and decommission Linux-based Control-M infrastructure.
  • Support disaster recovery planning, testing, and technical recovery procedures.
  • Maintain automation, scripting, and configuration management processes including Puppet.
  • Monitor system health, availability, and service-level objectives.
  • Participate in project planning, stakeholder discussions, and infrastructure improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures.
Required Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience administering BMC Control-M environments.
  • Strong experience with Control-M Server, Agent, Enterprise Manager, MFT, and Web Services modules.
  • Hands-on experience supporting Mainframe environments (z/OS, MVS, IOA).
  • Strong Linux administration experience.
  • Experience troubleshooting Control-M infrastructure, scheduling, agent, and network-related issues.
  • Experience with SSL certificate installation and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of enterprise scheduling concepts and production support processes.
  • Experience performing Control-M upgrades, installations, and patch management.
  • Strong incident management and problem-resolution skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Puppet or other configuration management tools.
  • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise scheduling environments.
  • Knowledge of disaster recovery planning and testing.
  • Experience with ServiceNow and enterprise monitoring integrations.
  • Exposure to automation and scripting technologies.
