Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced BI Developer Services - Level III professional to support enterprise-level data warehouse and data lake initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in ETL development, cloud-based data integration, Oracle technologies, DBT development, and enterprise data modeling within large-scale environments.

This role involves designing, developing, automating, and supporting sophisticated data integration and business intelligence solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, automate, and support complex ETL applications and workflows
  • Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading from heterogeneous data sources into on-premises and cloud-based platforms
  • Build and maintain scalable data warehouse and data lake solutions
  • Develop and optimize Oracle PL/SQL, Oracle SQL, ODI, DBT, and Shell scripting solutions
  • Create dimensional hierarchies and enterprise data models to support reporting and analytics initiatives
  • Develop and improve enterprise data delivery solutions for large-scale datasets
  • Perform data ingestion into platforms including Snowflake, AWS, and other cloud environments
  • Conduct data quality validation and implement DBT testing frameworks
  • Convert complex Oracle stored procedures into modular DBT models
  • Build and manage incremental models and raw data layer architectures
  • Implement security standards and access management for DBT models
  • Support cloud-native data integration technologies and migration initiatives
  • Participate in data lake migration projects from on-premises systems to cloud platforms
  • Collaborate with business users, vendors, and internal technical teams to ensure successful project delivery
  • Implement and maintain Git branching strategies and CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 10+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Strong Oracle database development experience within enterprise data warehouse/data lake environments
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • DBT (Data Build Tool)
    • Oracle PL/SQL
    • Oracle SQL
    • ODI
    • Shell scripting
  • Experience with Snowflake, AWS, and cloud-based data platforms
  • Expertise in dimensional modeling and enterprise reporting structures
  • Strong knowledge of data quality validation and testing methodologies
  • Experience with API development frameworks
  • Knowledge of cloud-native data integration technologies
  • Proven experience with data lake migration from on-premises to cloud platforms
  • Minimum 3 years of experience building incremental DBT models and managing raw data layers
  • Experience converting Oracle stored procedures into DBT models
  • Strong experience implementing Git workflows, branching strategies, and CI/CD pipelines
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience working with LAUSD Data Lake systems
  • Experience supporting LAUSD vendors/applications preferred
