Work Environment

This full-time position is 100% remote, allowing you to conduct therapy sessions from the comfort of your own home while still being part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team. Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will engage in the following responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough initial assessments and administer standardized screening tools to accurately evaluate the mental health status and needs of patients.
• Collect and analyze vital information to guide diagnosis and treatment, which may include mental status exams, history of behavioral health and trauma, and identifying client strengths and barriers to service access.
• Collaborate with clients to create tailored treatment plans that directly address their mental health symptoms, ensuring alignment with their personal goals and values.
• Utilize trauma-informed care practices, integrating evidence-based therapy techniques tailored to each client's unique circumstances during sessions.
• Facilitate referrals to community resources and ancillary services, fostering care coordination that helps patients navigate their paths to improved mental wellbeing.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your caseload will include a diverse range of clients—children, adults, couples, and families—each with distinct cultural backgrounds and varying mental health needs. This diversity requires an understanding of cultural competence and the ability to deliver compassionate and individualized care that respects and incorporates the unique perspectives of each client.

Qualifications

To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• A Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
• Current licensure or registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC.
• A minimum of 2 years of direct therapy experience in a clinical setting.

Preferred Experience

• Experience providing crisis counseling and mental health services to children, adolescents, and families in an outpatient setting is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver therapy in an evidence-based, culturally sensitive manner and assist clients in overcoming barriers to treatment.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Compensation and Benefits

Trauma Behavioral Healthcare offers a competitive annual salary range of $120,000 to $130,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
