• Conduct detailed initial assessments and evaluations of client mental health needs, utilizing standardized tools and interviewing techniques to collect insightful data.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the specific mental health requirements and goals of each client.
• Provide therapeutic services in both individual and group settings, employing various methodologies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based approaches.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive client records and progress notes, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and legal guidelines.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and case managers, to facilitate coordinated care and enhance client outcomes.
• Adhere to all ethical and professional standards established within the counseling field, ensuring best practices are consistently met.
• Engage in ongoing education and training opportunities, staying updated on emerging trends and effective practice models in mental health counseling.

Your work will primarily focus on a diverse client population, including children, families, and individuals facing issues such as trauma, substance abuse, and anxiety disorders. You will employ a trauma-informed approach to foster an environment of trust and safety, recognizing the importance of understanding each client’s unique background to provide effective support.

• A Master’s Degree in Counseling or a related field is required.
• Current Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) certification in the state of Connecticut is mandatory.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in mental health counseling is expected.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential for building rapport with clients and collaborating with team members.
• The ability to work independently while also functioning effectively within a team dynamic is crucial for success in this role.

• Experience working with specific populations, such as children, families, or those dealing with substance abuse, is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with digital tools and telehealth platforms to facilitate remote counseling sessions is a plus.

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 95,000, reflecting your experience and qualifications.
