This role offers the flexibility of a remote work environment, allowing the Clinical Social Worker to conduct assessments, provide counseling, and collaborate with educational staff and families from a comfortable setting. We utilize virtual communication tools to maintain effective engagement with clients and ensure continuous support. While primarily remote, occasional school visits may be necessary to assess student needs and develop tailor-made interventions.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' emotional, psychological, and social needs to identify barriers to learning and school adjustment.
• Collaborate with students, families, and school staff to create individualized treatment plans that align with the student’s educational goals and emotional requirements.
• Provide individual and family counseling services, employing evidence-based practices to address issues such as anxiety, depression, and behavioral concerns.
• Facilitate crisis intervention sessions and support groups aimed at equipping students with coping skills during challenging situations.
• Advocate for students’ needs within the educational system, ensuring they have access to the necessary resources and support services.

The primary client population includes students ranging from elementary through high school who may be experiencing mental health challenges. This role also involves collaborating closely with families to create a supportive network that encourages student resilience and academic success. We prioritize working with diverse populations to ensure all voices are heard and valued.

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution, ensuring a strong foundational knowledge in clinical practices.
• Active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) by the state of Kansas.
• A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical social work environment, with preference for those experienced in school settings or child and adolescent mental health.
• Demonstrated understanding of social work principles and theories as they apply to children and youth.
• Strong counseling, crisis intervention, and assessment skills to effectively engage students and families.

• Experience working with school districts or educational programs, with an understanding of the educational system and its challenges.
• Familiarity with community resources available to families for additional support.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care methodologies and practices.
