Job description

Seeking an experienced staff accountant or accounting manager for our north Charlotte corporate office. Prior accounting experience is required and familiarity with inflow or m3 hotel accounting software is strongly preferred. Other software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Peachtree, etc. will also be considered.

This position requires working in our corporate office located at 10610 Metromont Parkway, Charlotte, NC. Hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. This is NOT a hybrid or remote position.

Essential Duties:

  • Process accounts payables
  • Handle daily and monthly accounting functions for a number of accounts, typically straightforward and somewhat routine accounting processes.
  • Daily bank reconciliation
  • Review of daily or monthly report journal entries
  • Review of payroll journal entries
  • Review of accounts payable for coding accuracy
  • Compile month end questions for client
  • Compile reportable events as schedules
  • Post monthly recurring entries
  • Expense pre-paids monthly
  • Analytical review of income statement
  • Monthly preparation of financial statements
  • Monthly reconciliation of asset & liability accounts
  • Preparation & filing of sale, use, & occupancy tax returns
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Education/Training/Experience:

  • 1-3 years of experience in accounting required
  • Accounting degree preferred
  • Strong competency for customer service
  • Must have strong written and verbal skills in English
  • Experience using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Peachtree Accounting, SAP, Great Plains etc. required as well as hotel systems Inn-Flow or M3 preferred
  • Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software, with emphasis in MSWord and Excel.
