Job description

Aldridge Pite Haan, LLP is seeking an Associate Attorney licensed in Kentucky for a high-volume consumer collection practice. This is a fully remote position with no billable hour requirement.

APH offers a fully remote practice with no billable hour requirement and a collaborative environment where attorneys work closely with support staff and firm leadership. As a multistate firm, we place real value on attorneys admitted in more than one jurisdiction, and we cover bar dues, CLE, and the full cost of obtaining admission in additional states.

The Role

This is a high-volume consumer collection practice. You will carry a large, active docket and manage matters from filing through resolution, including reviewing and approving pleadings and motions, managing cases, and coordinating with support staff and other attorneys. Court appearances are infrequent, so the role is open to candidates anywhere in Kentucky. The work rewards attorneys who can move a heavy caseload efficiently and consistently while maintaining compliance with applicable law and firm standards.

Required

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
  • Active admission to practice law in the Commonwealth of Kentucky
  • One to three (1-3) years of litigation experience, preferably in consumer or commercial collections
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a high-volume caseload efficiently
  • Working knowledge of consumer protection statutes, including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills

Preferred

  • Admission to practice in additional states, strongly preferred; the firm will sponsor and pay for admission in other jurisdictions
  • Prior collection litigation or creditor's rights experience

Compensation and benefits

  • Salary range of $70,000 to $85,000, commensurate with experience
  • Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off
  • Fully remote within Kentucky
  • Firm-paid bar dues, CLE, and additional state bar admissions

Equal Employment Opportunity

Aldridge Pite Haan, LLP is fully committed to Equal Employment Opportunity and to attracting, retaining, developing and promoting the most qualified employees without regard to race, gender, color, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, age, physical or mental disability, citizenship status, veteran status, or any other characteristic prohibited by federal, state or local law. We are dedicated to providing a work environment free from discrimination and harassment, and where employees are treated with respect and dignity.
