Position Overview

Gotham Enterprises Ltd is seeking a passionate and skilled Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our dynamic team of professionals. Work Environment

This role is a remote position that allows for flexibility while still providing hands-on support to families. You'll primarily conduct therapy sessions in-home or via telehealth, ensuring that you are accessible to families in their natural environments. As part of a community health clinic, you will be integrated into a cross-disciplinary team approach to therapy, collaborating with various professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-home therapy sessions and group therapy at our outpatient center to provide targeted interventions for children and their families.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to teach anger management techniques, coping skills, and social skills, aiming to diminish high-risk behaviors such as self-injury and physical aggression.
• Work closely with caregivers to enhance their decision-making skills and equip them with strategies for managing behavioral challenges at home.
• Engage in active collaboration with the Child Family Treatment Team, maintaining consistent communication with multidisciplinary professionals to ensure holistic care.
• Document all therapy sessions and progress carefully, meeting all compliance guidelines for treatment plans and progress notes submitted within designated time frames.
• Participate in monthly team meetings to share insights, discuss challenges, and offer recommendations for improving treatment outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily supports a diverse population of children aged 3 to 20 years who are diagnosed with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Our clients include those with ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, and other related conditions. You will work with their families to provide culturally responsive and individualized care, emphasizing the importance of understanding each child's unique circumstances and needs.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field is required.
• An active and unrestricted LMFT License is necessary to practice.
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours weekly during after-school hours (4-7 pm), with some weekend flexibility preferred.
• Proven skills in providing positive behavior support and intervention.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working directly with children ages 3-20, particularly those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese is a distinct advantage, allowing us to better serve a diverse community.
• A history of collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary teams and contributing to team-based treatment planning.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license and have access to reliable transportation to visit clients.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits
