Remote Audio Visual Programmer information

How do Remote Audio Visual Programmers typically collaborate with on-site teams and clients during project implementation?

Remote Audio Visual Programmers often work closely with on-site technicians, project managers, and clients through video calls, screen sharing, and remote access tools. Communication is key, as they need to clarify system requirements, guide hardware integration, and troubleshoot issues in real time. Regular check-ins and detailed documentation help ensure everyone stays aligned, especially when coordinating across different time zones. Building strong remote relationships and being proactive in communication are essential for smooth project delivery.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote Audio Visual Programmer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Audio Visual Programmer, you need strong programming skills (such as Crestron, AMX, or Extron), a background in AV systems integration, and relevant certifications like CTS or manufacturer credentials. Proficiency with AV control software, remote troubleshooting tools, and network protocols is typically required. Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication, and self-motivation help professionals excel in remote and collaborative environments. These skills ensure seamless AV system performance, client satisfaction, and effective remote project delivery.

What is a Remote Audio Visual Programmer?

A Remote Audio Visual Programmer is a professional who designs, codes, and configures software for audio-visual (AV) systems, such as conference rooms, auditoriums, and smart home installations, while working from a remote location. They use programming languages and platforms specific to AV equipment to ensure seamless integration and automation of devices like projectors, sound systems, and lighting controls. Their role often involves troubleshooting, remote support, and collaborating with on-site technicians to deliver customized AV solutions.

Job description

What is the job?

Every great film needs a visionary designer to shape the experience — and at Regal, our Mobile Product Designer brings the magic to life across mobile and digital screens. You’ll craft seamless, transaction-driven experiences that connect the digital ease of discovery and purchase with the excitement of being in the theater.

From ticketing to loyalty to concessions, you’ll design the moments that turn casual moviegoers into lifelong fans — ensuring that every digital touchpoint feels as effortless and captivating as the big screen itself. This is a remote, US based role.

What You'll do

  • Lead design for mobile native and mobile web experiences.
  • Design and ship transactional flows: checkout, loyalty, subscriptions, account systems.
  • Partner closely with product, engineering, and research from discovery to launch.
  • Deliver production-ready UI, flows, and interaction detail.
  • Contribute to Regal’s Design Language System in Figma.
  • Design experiences that connect digital and in-theater touchpoints.

What We're Looking For

We’re hiring a senior individual contributor with proven ownership of complex mobile commerce work. Depth matters more than tenure.

You Must Demonstrate

Mobile B2C Transactional Experience

  • Shipped complex mobile experiences at scale.
  • Designed checkout, cart, loyalty, subscription, or account flows.
  • Understand conversion, retention, and production constraints.

End-to-End Ownership

  • Clear personal accountability in your portfolio.
  • Can explain tradeoffs and decision-making.
  • Experience taking work from concept through launch.

Strong Craft

  • Production-ready UI with attention to hierarchy, spacing, states, and edge cases.
  • Thoughtful interaction design — not just clean screens.

System Fluency

  • Deep Figma expertise.
  • Experience working within component libraries and design systems.

Senior Operating Style

  • Works autonomously.
  • Defines problems with partners.
  • Brings clarity in ambiguity.

 Portfolio Required

Portfolio required.

Must clearly show:

  • Mobile product work (native or mobile web)
  • Transactional B2C flows
  • Evidence of shipping and iteration
  • Strong visual and interaction craft

Applications without relevant portfolio evidence will not be reviewed.

What This Role Is Not

  • Not marketing or brand design
  • Not design management
  • Not primarily desktop web

This is hands-on mobile product design focused on commerce and real-world execution.

Logistics

  • Remote - US
  • Eastern or Central US hours required
  • Reports to Regal Experience & Design leadership

About you

  • 6–8+ years of product design experience in B2C mobile e-commerce or other transactional consumer products.
  • A strong portfolio that showcases end-to-end mobile product design, visual craft, and measurable outcomes.
  • Hands-on experience designing transactional experiences (checkout, account, or loyalty systems).
  • Expert Figma user with deep system-level experience (components, variables, documentation).
  • Collaborative partner with product, engineering, and research teams.
  • Curious about connecting physical and digital experiences to enhance the moviegoing journey.

You will be a great fit if our values resonate with you: We Create, We Perform, We Inspire.
