ROLE OPPORTUNITY

Hiring an A/V Technician with experience in low-voltage systems, home theater, home automation, and project installation for our Franklin, TN, location. 


This position requires at least 3+ years of in-field residential audio/visual installations. Technicians engage in installation tasks based on their proficiency levels. These tasks include rough-in and trim tasks during new construction and renovations, such as running and terminating cabling, reading plans, trimming wall plates, and installing speakers and networking gear. Technicians will also install and program security systems, install motorized shades, configure networks, trim equipment racks, and install audio/video installations.

Requirements

We are looking for an audio-video technician with the following:

  • Experience in residential and commercial project phases of rough-in, trim, and final installation. 
  • Experience with hanging TVs, projectors, and projector screens
  • Knowledge of low-voltage cabling best practices and standards
  • Cut in and install architectural speakers and in-wall touch screens
  • Knowledge of basic networking practices, switch/router/access point setup, and configuration of IP devices.
  • Experience with security systems and video surveillance products, and installation
  • Device setups, media rooms, retrofits, a/v racks, pre-wires, and more
  • Control4, Lutron programming, and networking experience a big plus+
  • Work safely with power tools and on ladders, scaffolding, and scissors lifts.
