This role focuses on editing short-form and long-form videos for ads, social media, tutorials, and brand storytelling. You’ll collaborate with content managers, writers, designers, and videographers to bring concepts to life while maintaining Sunco’s brand standards and performance goals.

What You\'ll Do
  • Collaborate with content managers, writers, designers, and videographers to develop video concepts, edit plans, and basic storyboards.
  • Edit short-form and long-form videos for ads, promotions, tutorials, and brand storytelling using Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or similar tools.
  • Create platform-native edits for Amazon, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Vimeo, and other channels—optimizing format, length, hooks, and calls to action.
  • Ensure consistency in branding, messaging, tone, and visual style across all video content.
  • Add graphics, subtitles, simple motion design, and basic animations to improve clarity and engagement.
  • Perform basic color correction and audio cleanup, including music, sound effects, and voice balancing, following licensing and brand guidelines.
  • Optimize video files, thumbnails, titles, and metadata for SEO and discoverability.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, creator best practices, and competitor content, and suggest new formats or creative tests.
  • Organize and maintain video assets, project files, and exports for efficient collaboration and reuse.
  • Incorporate feedback from stakeholders and partner teams while maintaining quality and timelines.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, communicating progress and risks clearly.
  • Partner with internal and external videographers or agencies when needed, providing clear briefs and edit requirements.
  • Work regular hours that substantially overlap with 9:00 am – 5:00 pm Pacific Time and attend scheduled meetings.
  • Support other video and content-related tasks as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in film production or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven experience as a video editor with a strong portfolio or showreel demonstrating end-to-end edits for digital channels, especially advertising.
  • Experience editing content from product footage, lifestyle shoots, UGC, and screen recordings.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, with moderate experience in 2D motion graphics.
  • Strong understanding of pacing, visual storytelling, composition, and motion design.
  • Familiarity with sound design basics, including sound effects, dialogue cleanup, music selection, and audio mixing.
  • Experience tailoring content for social media and marketplace platforms, especially short-form formats.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a distributed, multicultural team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Passion for staying current with video trends, tools, and best practices.
  • Experience with product, ecommerce, or B2B video campaigns is a plus.
  • Professional working proficiency in English (written and spoken).
  • Ability and willingness to work hours that substantially overlap with 9:00 am – 5:00 pm Pacific Time.
Key Attributes
  • High level of integrity and dedication to quality.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong commitment to process improvement and operational excellence.
Additional Requirements
  • Availability to work between 8 AM to 5 PM Pacific Time.
