Job description

This is a remote position. The ideal candidate should be prepared to travel up to 50% of the time

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Develop, track, and execute sourcing strategies for assigned categories 
  • Analyze specific product lines, product assortment, sourcing options, profitability and market trends to identify the cost savings and profitability 
  • Manage supplier relationships and resolve any supply issues for products procured from global and domestic locations. 
  • Assist Category Management Team with key vendor activities and functions. Conduct business reviews with vendors for various categories and operating divisions. 
  • Negotiate supply agreements to secure the highest quality goods and the right value based on market changes, supply chain movement, and various product offerings. 
  • Develop and communicate changes and updates to the Supplier Agreement to different entities involved with Category Management 
  • The ability to travel is up to 50% as required based on job requirements and customer support needs 
  • Other duties as assigned 

Required Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 6 plus years of related experience or High School Diploma/General Education Diploma (GED) with 9 plus years of specific experience
