Job description

Job Tilte: Project Manager
Location: Columbus, IN 47201
Contract: 5+ Months Contract (Possible of extension)
Shift: 8 AM - 5 PM EST
Job Description:

The ideal candidate needs to be a self-starter with the ability to juggle multiple stakeholders. Knowledge of engines, how they work and how OEM ties into them is a must-have. There will be some travel domestically and to Canada. Exact locations will be shared with the chosen candidate.
Top Skills the manager is looking for:
Ability to repower an existing vehicle
Project management experience
Project management coordination
Project management communication
Roles& Responsibilities:
The Field Test Coordinator role is a critical position responsible for executing and monitoring field validation activities for an existing project in process. This role can be performed remotely but requires close collaboration with cross-functional and international stakeholders, including engineering, product and external partners. The coordinator serves as the central point of contact for field test execution, ensuring alignment on objectives, timelines, risks, and deliverables across a global team.
A key responsibility of this role is managing complex equipment repower activities, including hands-on coordination of two critical repower events at designated locations. The successful candidate must be willing and able to travel to these sites to support the installation, validation, and troubleshooting of engines within the equipment chassis, on a timeline that already exists. Proven experience with repower activities is table stakes, including a strong understanding of how an engine integrates within a chassis and interacts with surrounding systems. This practical, application-level knowledge is essential to ensure successful execution and issue resolution in real-world environments.
The Field Test Coordinator must be highly effective at balancing multiple stakeholders with competing priorities while maintaining clear, consistent communication. This role requires a proactive, self-starting individual who can operate independently, anticipate challenges, and drive outcomes without constant direction. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple parallel workstreams are essential. Equally important is the ability to hold teams and partners accountable to commitments, ensuring milestones are met and risks are escalated and mitigated in a timely manner.
Success in this role requires a combination of technical acumen, leadership presence, and disciplined execution. The ideal candidate brings a collaborative mindset, thrives in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment, and demonstrates the ability to influence without authority across a globally distributed team. Clear communicationโ€”both written and verbalโ€”is critical to keep stakeholders aligned and informed, especially when navigating complex field conditions and resolving cross-functional challenges.
