Assistant Project Manager (Remote, $30-$40/hr)
About the Role
Join a forward-thinking team supporting the NY-SUN program as an Assistant Project Manager. This 40 hour/week remote position offers you the opportunity to leverage your data management, operational, and project coordination expertise in the renewable energy sector. You will collaborate with program staff, streamline processes, and ensure the successful execution of key solar and storage initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Review and process incentive applications efficiently and accurately
- Draft, execute, and manage award letters, assignments, project modifications, and extension requests
- Assist in developing and organizing Standard Operating Procedures to improve program workflows
- Support day-to-day program operations and contribute to achieving NY-SUN program objectives
- Adapt quickly to new IT platforms and maintain high data integrity
- Communicate clearly with internal teams and stakeholders, both in writing and verbally
- Complete additional tasks as assigned in support of program goals
Required Skills and Experience
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in project support or operational roles
- Proficiency in Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and database platforms such as NEIS
- Strong Excel skills and an ability to learn new software rapidly
- Familiarity with high-volume data entry and large database management
- Ability to interpret and implement program rules from manuals
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in public administration, project management, or environmental services
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
