We are actively hiring for an Enterprise AI Security Architect - Enterprise Architecture - Remote

Your Role: The Principal Enterprise Architect serves as a member of the CTO office or a senior staff within each of the individual business or technology domains within IT. You will play a key role in defining, planning, and realizing the enterprise technology vision aligned with the business and IT strategy. Responsibilities include researching, analyzing, designing, proposing, and delivering business solutions that are appropriate for the corporate, business and technology strategies.

Your Work:
  • Lead the security architecture and technical design for AI and emerging technologies, translating Cybersecurity strategy, policies, and control requirements into reference architectures, standards, patterns, and guardrails across cloud, identity, data, applications, infrastructure, third-party integrations, AI, and emerging technologies.

  • Partner with Enterprise Architecture, Security, Infrastructure, engineering, and business leaders to embed security into technology strategies, platforms, products, and solutions.

  • Review complex solution designs, identify security risks, and provide practical recommendations that balance innovation, business outcomes, regulatory requirements, and risk.

  • Define and evolve security architecture for cloud-native, AI, machine learning, data, identity, and integration environments.

  • Develop reusable security patterns and guardrails that enable consistent, scalable, and secure delivery across the enterprise.

  • Advise senior leaders on security architecture decisions and translate technical risks into clear business recommendations.

  • Evaluate emerging technologies and security capabilities, including generative AI, and recommend responsible adoption approaches.

  • Influence architecture governance, exception management, and technology investment decisions.

  • Mentor architects and engineers and strengthen enterprise security architecture practices.

Required Experience, Education and Skills

  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, architecture, engineering, or a related technology discipline, including significant experience leading enterprise security architecture in complex environments.

  • Ability to translate technical security risks into clear recommendations for senior leaders.

  • Experience designing AI security architecture for cloud-native, AI infrastrucure, or machine learning environments.

  • Experience designing and securing on-premises or hybrid AI infrastructure, including GPU-accelerated compute, private AI/ML platforms, model hosting environments, data pipelines, and supporting network, identity, storage, and workload security controls.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across teams.

What would make us excited about you?

  • Experience securing the AWS cloud environment.

  • Experience implementing governance controls for generative AI adoption. Knowledge of AI threat modeling and AI risk management frameworks, ideally NIST AI RMF.

  • Understanding of large language models, retrieval-augmented generation architectures, vector databases, and AI service providers.Experience developing enterprise security roadmaps, standards, reference architectures, and secure design patterns.

  • Experience advising senior leaders and influencing enterprise technology, security, and risk decisions.

  • Experience with AI security, generative AI, machine learning, or other emerging technologies.

  • Experience in insurance, financial services, or another highly regulated industry.

  • Experience designing systems that use both SQL and NoSQL databases.

  • Experience designing secure systems using cybersecurity best practices.

The national average salary range for this position is $186,660.00-$207,400.00. However, we have a location-based compensation structure. Our salary ranges vary and are calculated based on work location. The starting pay range for this position across all the states we hire in is $186,660.00-$248,750.00.
