Litigation Associate - REMOTE

Litigation Associate - Junior or Senior Level

Job Title: Litigation Attorney
Location: REMOTE
Skills required: Litigation experience, Lemon Law preferred

Well-known Lemon Law Firm in Los Angeles is seeking a Litigation Attorney to join their team in a remote capacity. Prior experience with lemon law not required, but it is preferred. This person will be either a junior or senior associate based on qualifications. See below:

1. Senior Associate: This person should have 3+ years experience and trial experience. Someone that can handle a case load of 60-80 cases go to trials. Projected salary: $170-$220k plus bonuses.
2.ย Junior Associate: This person should have at least 1-3 years experience with litigation. Able to handle a case load of 80 cases and build up cases in litigation (attending hearings, discovery, motions, and negotiations). Projected salary: $120-150k plus bonuses.
Key Responsibilities

  • Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, and contracts
  • Conduct thorough case analysis and legal research to support litigation efforts
  • Represent clients in court and other legal proceedings
  • Develop and implement effective litigation strategies
  • Prepare for trials, including organizing evidence and exhibits
  • Manage the discovery process, including document collection and review
  • Perform detailed legal writing for briefs and other submissions
  • Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and legal standards
  • Handle court filings and manage case timelines
  • Assist in depositions, mediation, and arbitration processes
  • Stay updated on civil procedure and relevant legal developments, particularly in Lemon Law cases

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Admission to CA state bar and in good standing
  • 3+ years of litigation experience preferred
  • Familiarity with civil procedure
  • Familiarity with trial preparation and court procedures
  • Knowledge of discovery processes and regulatory compliance
  • Ability to work collaboratively in REMOTE environment
