Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior CRO Designer, Paywalls and Funnels based in Netherlands.

As a Senior CRO Designer specializing in Paywalls and Funnels, you will help shape the way mobile products convert users into long-term subscribers through impactful design and experimentation. You will work at the intersection of UX design, growth strategy, analytics, and customer success to create high-performing monetization experiences. This role focuses on designing, testing, and optimizing paywalls, onboarding flows, and purchase journeys that directly influence business outcomes. You will collaborate with customers, product teams, and growth specialists to transform insights into scalable best practices. Working in a remote-first environment, you will have the opportunity to become a trusted expert in mobile monetization and conversion optimization.

Accountabilities
  • Design and build high-converting paywalls, onboarding experiences, upgrade journeys, and retention flows for mobile applications across different industries and audiences.
  • Translate product value propositions, brand identities, and user motivations into clear, compelling paywall layouts, messaging, pricing presentations, and conversion-focused experiences.
  • Lead conversion optimization projects by conducting customer discovery, understanding business goals, identifying opportunities, and developing actionable experiment strategies.
  • Define hypotheses, success metrics, and testing plans while collaborating with customers to launch and analyze experiments using analytics and experimentation tools.
  • Create reusable monetization assets, including templates, design patterns, checklists, and best practices that can improve future customer outcomes.
  • Partner with product, engineering, marketing, and advocacy teams to share insights and influence the evolution of monetization tools and workflows.
  • Develop educational resources such as guides, webinars, case studies, workshops, and best-practice content to help the broader mobile app community improve monetization performance.
  • Advise internal teams and customers on conversion-focused UX strategies while promoting sustainable growth practices that balance business goals with user trust.
Requirements
  • 5-8+ years of experience designing consumer mobile experiences, with significant expertise in subscription flows, paywalls, onboarding, upgrades, upsells, or retention journeys.
  • Proven experience creating and optimizing conversion-focused designs that improve business metrics, not only visual experiences.
  • Background working either within mobile product teams managing monetization experiences or within an agency/consulting environment supporting multiple app optimization projects.
  • Strong understanding of conversion rate optimization principles, experimentation methodologies, user behavior, and growth analytics.
  • Ability to define test hypotheses, success metrics, and experiment strategies using indicators such as conversion rate, trial starts, activation, and lifetime value.
  • Excellent mobile-first UX and visual design skills, with strong attention to interaction design, user journeys, and small-screen experiences.
  • Strong UX writing abilities with the ability to create concise, persuasive, and value-driven messaging for subscription experiences.
  • Proficiency with modern design tools such as Figma and the ability to translate designs into no-code product configurations.
  • Strong customer-facing communication skills, with confidence leading workshops, design reviews, strategy sessions, and presenting recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment, collaborate across time zones, and continuously iterate toward better solutions.
Benefits
  • Fully remote and flexible working environment.
  • Competitive compensation package with equity opportunities.
  • Long-term equity support with an extended exercise window for vested options.
  • 4-5 weeks of recommended annual time off to support personal well-being and sustainable performance.
  • Workspace setup budget to create an effective home office environment.
  • Annual learning and development budget to support professional growth.
  • Opportunity to work on impactful products used by a global developer and customer community.
  • Collaborative environment with cross-functional teams across product, engineering, growth, and customer success.
  • Opportunity to become a recognized expert in mobile monetization, experimentation, and conversion-focused design.
