Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for Non-Linguistic Quality Control Specialists based in Netherlands.

This remote opportunity is ideal for detail-oriented quality professionals with experience in language quality assurance within the life sciences industry. The role focuses on ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and compliance of English-language content used in clinical, regulatory, and pharmacovigilance contexts. Working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, you will play a key role in maintaining the highest quality standards for documentation that supports patient safety and global healthcare initiatives. You will collaborate with project teams, manage multiple assignments simultaneously, and contribute to the successful delivery of critical multilingual projects. This position offers long-term collaboration opportunities within a growing international quality program.

Accountabilities
  • Perform non-linguistic quality control of English translations for clinical, regulatory, and pharmacovigilance documentation.
  • Review formatting, terminology, numerical data, dates, units, consistency, and compliance with project instructions to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Use CAT tools and quality assurance software to identify and resolve formatting and technical issues.
  • Verify converted content from non-editable or handwritten source files and perform formatting quality checks after conversion.
  • Manage multiple small-volume assignments while meeting short turnaround times and maintaining high accuracy standards.
  • Self-assign available work based on capacity, document quality findings, report discrepancies, and escalate potential risks when necessary.
  • Collaborate closely with project management teams to support efficient project delivery and quality objectives.
Requirements
  • At least 6 months of experience in language quality assurance or a similar localization quality control role.
  • Experience reviewing clinical, regulatory, pharmacovigilance, or other life sciences documentation is highly valued.
  • Proficiency with CAT tools such as XTM, Trados, MemoQ, Phrase, or equivalent platforms.
  • Experience using QA tools including Xbench, Verifika, or integrated CAT quality assurance features.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word Track Changes and document review workflows.
  • Advanced English proficiency (minimum C1 level).
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously while meeting urgent turnaround times.
  • Availability to work approximately 4-5 hours per day, with flexibility to occasionally work weekends and public holidays.
  • Willingness to complete a quality control assessment and participate in a staged onboarding process.
  • Previous experience in a language service provider (LSP) environment is considered an advantage.
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
