Summary of the Position

Perricone Farms is seeking a results-driven and strategic National Account Manager to expand our footprint in the retail sector. This role is responsible for growing sales and distribution across both branded and private label product lines, focusing on existing retail partnerships while aggressively pursuing new customer acquisition. 

Responsibilities

  • Drive Retail Growth: Develop and implement strategies to expand sales and distribution with current and new retail customers across branded and private label lines. 

  • Customer Acquisition: Identify, engage, and secure new retail customers through strategic outreach and relationship building. 

  • Data-Driven Insights: Provide timely, accurate data on pricing, promotions, market trends, and competitor activity to inform business decisions.  Utilize customer and consumer data to effectively build customer presentations and drive demand. 

  • Cross-Functional Communication: Collaborate with internal teams including Executive Leadership, Procurement, Sales, and Quality to ensure customer needs are met efficiently and profitably. 

  • Operational Alignment: Match customer requirements with internal production capabilities to maximize revenue opportunities while controlling costs. 

Organizational Relationships: 

Position reports to the Director of Sales

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in a Regional or National Account Manager role, preferably within the food & beverage or CPG industry.  Direct Headquarter Sales experience with Albertsons or Kroger Companies preferred, and/or major National and Regional customers. 

  • Sales Acumen: Strong understanding of sales metrics, KPIs, and performance measurement tools.  Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking and thought leadership skills to link customers and strategies and objectives and leverage insights to develop profitable growth plans. 

  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in managing national accounts, negotiating contracts, and delivering on sales targets. Ability to plan and simultaneously manage major projects involving multiple stakeholders in an organized, focused, and efficient way to meet objectives and deadlines.  

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong client-centric approach.  Strong use of influencing skills to gain alignment, agreement, and commitments with both internal and external key stakeholders.  

  • Flexibility: Willingness and ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend trade events. 

  • Location: Open to remote candidates in the West, preferably in Southern California, with appropriate travel flexibility.
