Job description

Position Summary
The Precision Ag Territory Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue growth within an assigned territory by developing new customer relationships, expanding dealer partnerships, and supporting growers and agricultural professionals with EarthScout's soil moisture monitoring solutions. This role owns the full sales process within the territory, from prospecting through close, and serves as the primary point of contact for growers, crop consultants, irrigation professionals, retailers, and agricultural organizations seeking to improve water management decisions through EarthScout technology.
This position requires a self-directed sales professional who is comfortable working independently in the field, can translate technical product capabilities into clear customer value, and is committed to building long-term trust within the agricultural community.
*While this is a remote position, candidate must reside in Arizona to support the territory.
Key Responsibilities
Sales amp; Business Development
  • Develop new business opportunities through prospecting, cold calling, referrals, networking, trade shows, and industry events.
  • Build and maintain relationships with growers, agricultural retailers, irrigation dealers, equipment dealers, consultants, universities, and industry partners.
  • Manage the complete sales process from lead generation through closing.
  • Meet or exceed territory sales goals and growth objectives.
  • Maintain accurate customer information, sales activities, and opportunities within the CRM system.
Customer Engagement amp; Product Support
  • Conduct product demonstrations in the field and virtually.
  • Educate customers and partners on EarthScout products, applications, and value proposition.
  • Support dealer partners with training, sales tools, and customer opportunities.
  • Gather customer feedback and market intelligence to inform product development and marketing efforts.
  • Stay current on precision agriculture trends, irrigation practices, and industry developments.
Territory Management
  • Develop and execute a territory sales plan aligned with company growth objectives.
  • Travel regularly to visit customers, prospects, dealers, and industry events.
  • Build long-term relationships through consistent communication and follow-up.
  • Identify new market opportunities and competitive insights, and report these to sales leadership.
Education amp; Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in agriculture, business, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 3+ years of successful outside sales experience preferred.
  • Experience selling agricultural products, irrigation systems, precision agriculture technology, equipment, or related solutions preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate new business and build lasting customer relationships.
  • Experience using CRM systems and sales technology preferred.
  • Agricultural background, agronomy knowledge, or crop production experience is a plus but not required.

  • Ability to travel regularly and independently throughout the assigned territory, including overnight and multi-day travel as needed.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle for extended periods to visit customer sites, dealers, and industry events.
  • Ability to walk on uneven terrain (fields, farm sites) in varying weather conditions to conduct product demonstrations and installations.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment and demonstration materials up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for periods of time during field demonstrations and installations.
  • Ability to work outdoors in seasonal weather conditions typical of the agricultural industry.
Compensation
  • $60,000.00-$70,000.00 Annually DOE
    • Commission on monthly sales as defined in terms and conditions of Agreement
