JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Agricultural Economics, Sociology and Education (AESE) student consultants will:

  • Serve as a member of the AESE Student Consultant team, actively participating with faculty developing or revising undergraduate courses in the Community, Environment and Development (CED) major, by providing feedback and suggestions on content, teaching methods, and other design elements (average of 1 hour a week).

  • Attend and participate in biweekly, semi-structured, one-hour training and coordination meetings with other student consultants.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Be an in-coming sophomore, junior, or senior in the Agribusiness Management major, the Agricultural and Extension Education major, the Agricultural Science major, or the Community, Environment, and Development major.

  • Have a strong interest in the process of teaching and learning, and particularly what occurs within a classroom.

  • Be willing to commit to and follow through on the responsibilities inherent in the role, communicate with honesty and courtesy, reflect on this work using the means provided, uphold the privacy of your partner, and keep strictly confidential what is discussed between you and your partners and at meeting.
