Civil Affairs Planner, Senior
The Opportunity:
As a defense mission professional, you ask questions others don't. You understand the nuances of complex situations. You use your skills to think bigger and push further, solving complex problems. We're looking for an expert like you to create solutions for missions that keep our nation safe.
As a Civil Affairs Planner, you will integrate civil considerations into operational planning across all phases of operations, conducting detailed analysis of civil networks, terrain, and vulnerabilities to inform mission planning and decision-making. You will coordinate with interagency, host-nation, and non-governmental partners to align civil-military objectives and develop courses of action that reflect civil inputs, stability requirements, and governance factors. In this role, you will prepare civil elements of operational plans, annexes, and supporting documents, assess how military operations affect civilian populations, infrastructure, and essential services, and monitor ongoing activities to identify emerging civil-related risks and opportunities. You will also produce briefings, assessments, and decision-support materials that convey critical civil considerations to. You Have:
  • Experience at a Combatant Command or Joint Force Headquarters
  • Experience coordinating with interagency, host-nation, and non-governmental partners
  • Experience assessing impacts of military operations on civilian populations and infrastructure
  • Experience producing briefings, assessments, and decision-support materials for General Officer or Flag Officer audiences
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree and 14+ years of experience supporting civil affairs planning, or Master's degree and 10+ years of experience supporting civil affairs planning

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
