This full-time position is primarily remote, allowing our counselors the flexibility to work from the comfort of their homes, while still engaging in a collaborative and supportive team environment. The position will involve interfacing with our outpatient office as needed, which serves a diverse client population throughout Rochester, New York. • Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans that address the specific needs of clients, utilizing evidence-based approaches and clinical best practices.
• Provide timely documentation and reporting that meets all regulatory standards, ensuring the integrity of client records and services.
• Implement crisis intervention strategies when necessary, including pre-crisis and crisis plans, behavioral guidelines, and risk assessments to manage high-risk situations effectively.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design and implement robust positive behavior support plans that promote beneficial outcomes for clients.
• Engage actively in licensing and accreditation efforts, assuring adherence to industry standards and continuous quality improvement within the organization.

The focus of this role is to work with a diverse client population, including individuals facing emotional challenges, recovery from substance use disorders, and those with developmental disabilities or brain injuries. You will have the opportunity to build strong therapeutic relationships, utilizing active listening and empathy to guide clients through their healing and recovery journeys. Your expertise will contribute significantly to enhancing their emotional health and overall quality of life.

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or a related field.
• Completion of a full-time clinical internship in a mental health setting is required.
• Must hold or be eligible for licensure in New York State as a Mental Health Counselor.
• A valid driver’s license in good standing is necessary for travel as required.
• Exceptional communication skills are essential for establishing trust and rapport with clients and team members.
• Strong organizational skills and a keen attention to detail in both administrative and clinical tasks.

• Experience using evidence-based screening tools and familiarity with current best practices in mental health interventions.
• Prior involvement in crisis intervention and management, showcasing an ability to handle high-stress situations effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, contributing towards a unified goal of client care excellence.
