These roles allow PAs to work flexible hours, often filling in for staff shortages, covering shifts, or providing extra support during busy periods. Per diem PAs can choose their assignments and schedules, making this a popular option for those seeking flexibility or supplemental income. Compensation is typically hourly and may be higher than full-time roles due to the lack of benefits.

To thrive as a Physician Assistant (Per Diem), you need a master's degree from an accredited PA program, national certification (PANCE), and a state license, along with strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
