Job description

COMPANY OVERVIEW
At Accelerate Learning, we’re dedicated to engaging and inspiring STEM education for PreK-12. Our mission is to spark curiosity in the STEM classroom with programs designed by experienced teachers and STEM experts. Supporting over 9 million students and 750,000 teachers, we constantly adapt to educators’ needs and customer feedback to promote powerful teaching strategies that shape the future of STEM learning.
“For teachers, by teachers” is not a slogan—it’s a fact. Our award-winning product, STEMscopes, was incubated in the classroom and developed by over 200 teachers, science experts, and science professors.
We’re scaling rapidly and investing in cutting-edge cloud technologies, AI, and modern software practices to bring STEM education into the future. Join us, and your work will directly shape how millions of students learn.
POSITION SUMMARY
At Accelerate Learning, we’re on a mission to transform STEM education for millions of students and teachers. We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager who thrives on curiosity, customer obsession, and strategic thinking — someone who doesn’t just follow a roadmap but helps shape it.
Location: Onsite two days a week, if you live within a 45-mile radius of the Houston headquarters. Remote for those outside of the Houston metropolitan area.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Key responsibilities include:
  • Shape and refine the product roadmap in alignment with business goals and educational outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation in areas such as AI, adaptive learning, and scalable SaaS solutions.
  • Engage regularly with teachers, administrators, and students to understand their challenges and motivations.
  • Translate educator and learner needs into actionable product requirements.
  • Define clear requirements, epics, and user stories to guide development teams.
  • Prioritize features and manage the product backlog in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Design, and QA to ensure seamless delivery of high-quality solutions.
  • Establish success metrics for new and existing features.
  • Analyze product performance and usage data to drive iterations.
  • Incorporate customer feedback to refine the product experience.
  • Partner with Product Leadership, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to align on goals and priorities.
  • Communicate product vision and progress effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Explore new technologies and approaches (AI, event-driven systems, adaptive learning) to keep products competitive.
  • Stay informed on EdTech industry trends, instructional practices, and regulatory requirements.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3–5 years of experience in product management, ideally with SaaS, EdTech, or consumer-facing products.
  • Hands-on experience working in Agile/Scrum environments — writing user stories, managing backlogs, and leading sprint rituals.
  • Strong skills in gathering requirements, translating them into epics and stories, and prioritizing work for development teams.
  • Data-driven mindset with ability to analyze usage patterns and customer feedback to guide iterations.
  • Excellent communicator who can collaborate across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Passion for improving education and empathy for teachers and learners.
  • Curiosity to explore instructional challenges and design products that enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
  • Bonus: A love of STEM.
