Job description

As a One Legal contractor, you'll be part of a diverse network of experienced process servers and court runners across the United States.
Your primary responsibilities will be performing service of process, physical court filing, and courtesy copy delivery tasks, depending on your preferences
You'll enjoy the freedom to focus solely on fieldwork, as our in-house team handles customer interactions, document reviews, proof of service preparations, and more. The position offers flexibility, a consistent flow of jobs, and the benefit of regular, reliable payments.

The role of a One Legal contractor is both rewarding and challenging.
You will be a critical part of our mission to deliver fast, reliable, and cost-effective services to our vast customer base of legal professionals. We provide our contractors with access to ServeManager-the leading platform in the industry-ensuring you can manage your jobs effectively and efficiently.
With our back-office support, your focus remains on the tasks in the field, leveraging your expertise and skills where they matter the most. As a contractor, you have our commitment to building a long-lasting relationship, where your success is our success.
This is a remote, independent contractor position.
Requirements
To be in the Exchange network, you must:
  • Be 18 years of age, or older
  • Have a valid process serving registration/license/application if that is required in your jurisdiction(s)
  • Have a valid photo ID (e.g., driver license, passport)
  • Have reliable transportation
  • Have an ability to perform services for One Legal customers, including process serving, court deliveries, etc.
  • Have an ability to utilize ServeManager software application for performing services
  • Have a professional attitude and appearance

For the application, prepare to provide the following:
  • Profile picture to upload
  • 3-5 sentences about yourself, the services you offer (and in what area) and your experience
  • Photo ID (e.g., valid driver's license, passport, etc.)
  • Proof of process serving registration/licensing/application if that is required by your jurisdiction(s)

What to expect:
All questions and document uploads must be completed in order for your application to be considered
Upon submission of the application, you will receive an Independent Contractor Agreement for your review and signature along with a W-9 to complete and submit.
