IT Systems Administrator

Randolph Electric Membership Corporation is seeking an IT Systems Administrator to join our team in Asheboro, NC. This role is essential in supporting and strengthening our network infrastructure while ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient technology for both employees and the members we serve.

What You'll Do
  • Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security
  • Support and maintain REMC's IT systems and integrations across the organization
  • Administer Microsoft server and client environments
  • Manage LAN, WAN, cellular communications, SAN, VMware, and firewall systems
  • Provide responsive technical support to employees via Teams, phone, email, or in person
  • Troubleshoot issues related to devices, applications, MFA, and remote access
  • Configure and manage Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, VLANs, and segmentation
  • Strengthen cybersecurity practices and protect system integrity
  • Perform system upgrades, audits, and vulnerability assessments
  • Maintain documentation for systems, configurations, and processes
  • Support Azure and Entra environments and virtualization infrastructure
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 4 years of IT experience including network administration or systems support preferred
  • Experience with Cisco routers, Dell switches, firewalls, and VMware environments
  • Strong knowledge of networking concepts, cybersecurity, and troubleshooting
  • Industry certifications such as CCNP or CCNA are a plus
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong customer service mindset
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and collaborate across teams
