Regional Move Manager - JLL

What this job involves:

As a Move Manager at JLL, you'll serve as the critical link between seamless workplace transitions and our client's operational success. This role puts you at the center of every relocation project, from individual executive moves to large-scale campus restacks, where you'll orchestrate the countless moving parts that transform space planning into reality. You'll combine project management expertise with exceptional stakeholder engagement to ensure every relocation happens on time, on budget, and with minimal disruption to business operations. Your work directly impacts employee experience and client satisfaction, making you an essential contributor to JLL's reputation for delivering world-class workplace solutions. If you thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy solving complex logistical challenges, and take pride in executing flawless relocations, this opportunity offers the perfect blend of strategic planning and hands-on execution.

What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Serve as the single point of contact for all move management activities within your assigned region, managing multiple concurrent relocation projects from initiation through closeout. Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with facility managers, construction teams, and key stakeholders, ensuring adherence to timelines and client KPIs throughout execution.

  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to plan and execute relocations, including conducting vendor bidding processes, evaluating proposals, managing move labor, and supervising technology, furniture, and telecommunications providers to deliver seamless transitions.

  • Lead planning meetings with clients, occupancy planning teams, and stakeholders to review project requirements, address concerns, and communicate schedules. Prepare move orientations for large groups, provide on-site support during relocations, and remain available to resolve issues and answer questions as they arise.

  • Manage data accuracy by performing input into JLL and client systems to maintain occupancy information, process client move requests, prepare project status reports, review invoices for timely payment, and maintain comprehensive documentation for due diligence and financial tracking.

  • Oversee post-move activities including managing the help desk, updating databases, tracking punch list items to resolution, and ensuring all project documentation is complete. Identify and address potential risks related to logistics, budget, or scope, while actively tracking performance against schedules and critical paths.

  • Handle work orders and small projects such as furniture reconfigurations, space enhancements, AV improvements, and minor campus projects. Determine pricing for non-baseline work, coordinate contractor activities, and ensure all accounts receivable remain within approved capital budgets.

  • Incorporate best practices into every relocation, adapt quickly to client changes and requests, conduct and document weekly project meetings, and demonstrate proficiency with Project Development Services technology while managing all aspects of client satisfaction throughout the relocation process.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with 3-4 years of facility, project, move or construction-related experience in a corporate real estate environment demonstrating proven project management capabilities.

  • Strong budget preparation and tracking skills with demonstrated ability to manage project financials, process invoices accurately, and maintain accounts receivable within approved capital budgets.

  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) with proven ability to successfully engage with diverse stakeholders including clients, architects, contractors, client representatives, and internal team members at all organizational levels.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google applications, and project management software, combined with the ability to perform accurate data input into multiple systems and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

  • Demonstrated ability to adapt and prioritize effectively in fast-paced environments, managing multiple concurrent projects independently with minimal oversight while meeting deadlines and maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Background in project management, construction management, architecture, or project strategy planning within commercial real estate settings.

  • Familiarity with architectural drawings, furniture specifications, and space planning concepts that support effective relocation planning and execution.

  • Understanding of technical requirements for relocation, construction, and renovation projects including coordination of telecommunications, technology infrastructure, and facility systems.

  • Experience with vendor management including conducting bidding processes, evaluating proposals, negotiating contracts, and managing subcontractor performance to deliver quality outcomes.

  • Knowledge of change management principles and experience communicating with large groups during transitions, providing move orientations, and managing stakeholder expectations throughout organizational changes.
