Job Purpose and Impact

The Freight Sourcing Coordinator will perform moderately complex activities that ensure efficient transportation of materials and products from origin to destination. In this role, you will participate in the identification and selections of the most appropriate and cost effective transportation.

Key Accountabilities
  • Control and track the transport of critical materials.
  • Apply a general comprehension of transportation and logistics practices and procedures to assist in the negotiation of freight prices and contract terms for customers.
  • Update transportation websites and databases for contracts, freight rates and estimates, insurance and customer information.
  • Independently analyze current transportation operations practices to resolve process and cost improvement opportunities.
  • Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of two years of related work experience (transportation, logistics, or fleet operations)
